Double Bass/Cello Realist Pickup

$349.00 inc GST

The Realist pickup is an essential accessory for those playing jazz, rock, rockabilly and beyond. We currently have two in store: the Realist Woodtone Pickup, the Realist Copperhead Pickup and the Realist Lifeline Pickup. There is also a Realist Pickup for Cello in stock.

Realist Pick Up Bass

Designed by Ned Steinberger in collaboration with David Gage of David Gage Stringed Instruments New York, The Realist provides an innovative solution for bassists needing a transducer that recreates a natural arco sound without loss of natural tone or creating feedback. Warm sounding, reliable and providing excellent value for money, no pre amps or battery powered gear is necessary. Just plug in and play without feedback problems.

Gage explains the philosphy behind the design. "We understand the hours of practice it takes to draw your sound out of your instrument, and with this pick-up we feel your voice can be heard more accurately through an amplifier. Both recording engineers and professional musicians have been startled by the great tone and even response when playing pizzicato and arco. Finally, you can play both pizz and arco without having to play with your controls."
