Struggling with problematic pegs?
Though a new set well fitting pegs should tune with ease - the nature of wood swelling and shrinking can still cause havoc on your pegs and strings, causing them to regularley become unstable. This is especially noticeable during summer and winter, when we go from hot to cold, humid to dry and back and forth. Tuning comfortably with pegs is also something that many students don't learn until a few years into playing.
Problematic pegs are not only frustrating for the player or parent of the player, but it can also cause unnessary stress on sensitive strings, compromising the integrity of the string and potentially causing breakage. Not only costly but it can be traumatic for some!
