 Double Basses, Cellos & Violins

''Any man-made thing should be well made and durable; it should be ergonomic and fit for purpose; it should have brought no harm to anybody or anything; and it should evoke delight and lasting pleasure in use."

Kevin McCleod - Enjoying Life in the 21st Century.

Each instrument created by Benedict is as individual as the timber which he chooses.  Benedict works closely with the musician to achieve the perfect outcome for their requirements.

The instruments are supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity and continue to prove to be lifelong investments for the player.

Each instrument crafted in the Atelier is made with the traditional methods and materials.

The highest quality wood is sourced from Europe's finest tonewood cultivators.

After the wood is felled, dried and stored to mature, it is selected by Benedict and brought to Australia where it is again stored.

Making

Eventually, the tonewood is carved by hand into an instrument using traditional techniques.
