Stunning French Master made Double Bass. mid 19th century
Superb condition for its age, this instrument was originally built as a three stringer. Before a conversion to 4 strings. It retains its original neck which has been fitted with I knew A grade fingerboard.
Featuring stunning wavy spruce top and maple back and sides.
The maple back is superbly built with a bend high on the back for comfort.
After serving many years in professional circles it is only now that this much loved professional instrument is now being offered for sale.
Suitable for all the genres, in particular orchestral.
Very comfortable string length of 42'' , 106.5cm
