POA

This superb looking instrument is beautifully made and has a powerful sound to match.

Attributed to William Henry Dow, who although  born in Tayport, Scotland in 1835, emmigrated to Melbourne in 1857. He is considered by many to be the best and most prolific maker in Victoria's history.  He died in his 92nd year in 1927, but in this time was said to have produced 250 violins, violas and cellos.

This extremely neat craftsman produced very pleasurable ideas of strength and robustness and his instruments produced noteably strong and vibrant sounding tone.
